The Master’s Mind
The Art of Reshaping Your Thoughts
Lance Hahn
The Master’s Mind is a must read for every Christian who
wants to have their minds aligned more like Christ. This book covers in-depth issues concerning
the human mind. Being born with a sinful
nature we must focus to win the battle of our minds in order to align our
thinking with our Master’s mind.
The author is a pastor who uses scripture along with other
resources to help the reader understand how to reshape their minds. By reshaping one’s mind will ultimate help
you reshape or change your life leading to what is a more fulfilling life. He
points out that “What we think determines our actions”.
The author focuses on Identity Theft; we must know who we
are. He points out that we have been ripped off and who we think we are has
been compromised and we must reclaim our identities. He shows us who Christ says we are. He covers Temptation and how we ate tempted
and what we can do to make better choices. He uses Jesus as the example to show
us how to deal with temptation appropriately.
He teaches how we are to arm ourselves in this battle. He covers the
Monsters we create by explaining what we feed grows. This allows us to give
thought what thoughts we are feeding. He
covers the Five Horsemen of the Mental Apocalypse; Depression, Anxiety, Anger,
Idolatry and Addiction. These are all
too familiar in our society. He offers
solutions to deal with these issues. He
covers the Land of Make Believe; the thoughts that we believe that aren’t based
in reality. All Hail the King; Jesus owns the property rights to our minds
because He paid the ultimate price and the bad guys are defeated! Our minds
belonged to Him to begin with and we have say over what we allow in. Replacement Therapy; we secure our minds by
back filling with good. As we anchor
ourselves firmly in our new identities in Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to
help us by pointing out various areas of sin and as each area is removed fill it
with life-giving elements.
I have shared a snippet of information that this books
shares. It is worth reading if you
really have a desire to align your thoughts with those of Christ.
This book was given to me by the publisher for my honest
opinion of it.
